Betting on the Los Angeles Dodgers (-300)
The Dodgers got doused with cold water last Sunday, as they saw their four-game win streak come to an end in a 6-5 loss to the Houston Astros at home. On the mound for the Dodgers, this Monday will be no other than future Hall of Famer and arguably the greatest Dodger of all time, Clayton Kershaw.
The lefty looked great in his last start, as he tossed seven scoreless innings with five strikeouts in a 2-0 win over the Los Angeles Angels on the road on June 20. Kershaw has yet to face the Rockies this season, but the last time he pitched against them in his last two starts against Colorado, which both took place in 2022, he allowed just an earned run on six hits in 11 total innings of action. Los Angeles is also 4-1 in its last five games at Coors Field.
Starting pitcher: Clayton Kershaw (9-4, 2.72 ERA)
Betting on the Colorado Rockies (+250)
After getting embarrassed by the Angels in a 25-1 loss last Saturday, the Rockies avoided an embarrassment by getting back at the Halos in a 4-3 victory to close out the three-game series at home on Sunday. Now, Connor Seabold will look to help the Rockies sustain their form. He is also eyeing to come up with a much better performance than the one he showed up with in his last start.
Seabold got crushed for nine earned runs on nine hits (four home runs) in a 10-2 road loss to the Atlanta Braves last Saturday. He is 0-1 with a 4.91 ERA and in nine appearances (four starts) at Coors Field, so far this 2023 MLB regular season. Although Kershaw is always going to be a tough assignment for hitters, the Rockies have the pair of Elias Diaz and Randal Grichuk, who have a combined 13-for-35 with three homers off of the Dodgers ace.
Starting pitcher: Connor Seabold (1-3, 5.88 ERA)

The Dodgers’ offense has been pretty productive of late despite their loss to Houston recently. They should be able to figure out Seabold, who’s just not trustworthy at the moment, given his most recent outing. Taking the Dodgers to win.
