Betting on the Seattle Mariners (+100)
Following an incredible performance against the New York Yankees, George Kirby will step on the mound later tonight looking to keep that form alive. In a 1-0 win over the Bronx Bombers on May 31 at home, Kirby tossed eight scoreless innings and gave up only three hits, and issued zero walks while striking out seven Yankees hitters.
With that performance, Kirby was able to finish May with a 3-2 record in that month along with a 3.12 ERA. He has also collected a 2-2 record and 2.97 ERA in his last five starts overall. Behind Kirby are the bats of J.P. Crawford and Ty France, who would love to see Michael Wacha again. Crawford is 5-for-11 with a homer in his career against Wacha, while France is 8-for-12 with four doubles in that matchup.

Betting on the San Diego Padres (-120)
Michael Wacha will look to score his first win of June again after failing on his first try. He was decent in his first start this June though, as he allowed just two earned runs on three hits while striking out eight hitters in a 2-1 home loss to the Chicago Cubs last Friday. Wacha had trouble with his location as he issued five walks, which were the most he’s given in a start so far this season.
That might not be much of a problem later tonight for Wacha, as Seattle has one of the lowest on-base percentages in the big leagues, so far this season. Seattle also has a high strikeout rate, top-five worst in the MLB, in fact. Among San Diego hitters, only Xander Bogaerts and Rougned Odor have experience facing Kirby, and they are a combined 3-for-10 with three Ks against the Mariners righty. Nevertheless, Kirby is going to be put to the test by the likes of Juan Soto and Fernando Tatis Jr., who both can’t wait to face him.
