After winning back-to-back games to close out a recent series against the Kansas City Royals, the Nationals have now lost two games in a row against the Dodgers. With just one more game left to score a win in this series, the Nationals will start Patrick Corbin. Although Corbin had an ugly performance in his most recent start in which he allowed six earned runs on six hits in 6.1 innings against Kansas City last Friday, Corbin avoided picking up a loss thanks to Washington’s offense coming up with a bunch of runs in a 12-10 victory.
The Nats have actually won in each of Corbin’s last three starts and in four of his last five. Washington hopes that its offense will wake up this Wednesday. As a team, the Nationals have a .298 career batting average versus Noah Syndergaard. Washington is also fifth in the big leagues with a .263 batting average.

The Dodgers’ bats have been on fire of late. So far in the Washington series, Los Angeles has come up with a total of 15 runs in two games, while limiting the Nationals to just four runs.
