Top 5 Best Los Angeles Dodgers Contracts in 2022

Los Angeles Dodgers are constantly signing multi-million dollar deals, and in this list, we’ll mention their best contracts heading into the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

Cody Bellinger tuvo una decepcionante actuación en el 2021, pero gracias a sus memorables batazos en los años previos, logró ubicarse como uno de los peloteros mejor pagados de la franquicia californiana, con un salario base anual de 17 millones de dólares.

The 26-year-old outfielder has not looked good recently due to physical problems. However, he is expected to be back to his best to command the offensive heart of one of the teams favored to reach the World Series. After five years in the majors, always with the Dodgers, Bellinger has 133 home runs and 354 runs batted in, with a .257 average and a .346 OBP.

Best Los Angeles Dodgers Contracts: Trea Turner

Trea Turner arrived in Los Angeles during the 2021 campaign as one of the newest reinforcements in the race for the postseason. Although the main goal, which was again to win the World Series, was not met, Turner performed well enough to earn the star shortstop job, with a salary of $18.5 million.

In his first season with the Dodgers, Turner posted a .338 average and .385 OBP, with 10 home runs and 28 RBIs. Impressive performance achieved in only 52 regular round games.

Best Los Angeles Dodgers Contracts: Justin Turner

Although Justin Turner is a player who is living the final stretch of his career, he remains one of the Dodgers’ star players with an annual base salary of $16 million.

The 37-year-old infielder comes from playing 151 games in the 2021 regular round, giving a solid performance of 26 home runs and 87 RBIs. Beyond what he can do on the field, we are talking about a leader in the dugout and that is highly valued by manager Dave Roberts’ coaching staff.

Best Los Angeles Dodgers Contracts: Mookie Betts

Mookie Betts is the Dodgers’ second-highest-paid player after agreeing to a 12-year, $365 million deal that guarantees him $17 million per campaign.

The stellar outfielder already knows what it’s like to win World Series in both leagues, and his ability to do just about everything right on the field puts him among the league’s elite. In 2021, Betts suffered some physical problems that limited his performance. He totaled 23 home runs and 58 RBIs, after being on the field in 122 games.

Best Los Angeles Dodgers Contracts: Trevor Bauer

Trevor Bauer is listed as the Dodgers’ highest-paid player thanks to an annual salary of $32 million, but the truth is that he is currently involved in a serious legal problem that could take him out of professional baseball.

The right-handed starter was able to sign a 3-year, $102 million deal with the Californian team after winning the Cy Young Award with the Cincinnati Reds. In fact, before the domestic violence scandal broke, Bauer was posting an impressive 2.59 ERA and 1.00 WHIP after 17 appearances.
