Tuesday’s loss is not only painful because it was at home, but also because it was against a direct rival in the conference, and now they are two games behind the Jazz for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Against the Thunder, the team from Los Angeles again showed an impressive defensive deficiency by allowing almost 60% shooting from the field and 67% from long distance. This is not surprising considering that they are the fourth-highest scoring team in the league with 118.4 points.
That poor defensive performance again led the Lakers to waste a great night from James, who with 38 points surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the number one spot in all-time scoring in the circuit.
