Betting on the Miami Heat

“We always say the last one to get is the hardest one to get,” Heat big man Bam Adebayo said after Miami lost in Game 4 last Tuesday night at home, 116-99. Indeed, the Heat did not have a great time on both ends of the floor in a potential closeout game, but they will get another crack at it this coming Thursday in Boston. A good sign for the Heat, even in that loss, was the performance of their leader, Jimmy Butler, who provided 29 points on 9/21 shooting to go with nine rebounds and five assists.
So long as Butler is showing an effort like that, the Heat will be in the right mindset in every game they play. Through four games in the Eastern Conference Finals, Butler has averaged 26.8 points on 45.2 percent shooting from the field to go with 7.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists. The Heat, as a team, simply just did not have it in Game 4, but they surely still know what it takes to bring down Boston – even on the road. After all, they are 2-0 there in this series. Miami is also 4-1 against the spread in their last five games at TD Garden.
Betting on the Boston Celtics

At last, the Celtics got it together and figured out how to score a win against Miami. Jayson Tatum went off for 33 points on 14/22 shooting from the floor with 11 rebounds and seven assists and two blocks in 42 minutes in Game 4, while all four other Celtics starters provide at least 11 points. Boston came to play in Game 4 after a lackluster performance in Game 3, and who’s to say the Celtics can’t have that kind of energy again in Game 5 in front of their home crowd?
Having finally tasted a victory in the series, the Celtics must now be oozing with confidence again, something they did not seem to have much of during the early goings of the series when the Heat were building momentum. Miami is also probably cooling down after shooting the lights out in consecutive games. The Heat might now be seeing the start of a potential offensive slump, which would be terrific news for Boston, which is 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games on a Thursday.
