Betting on the Miami Heat

Heat vs Knick Predictions Picks Odds NBA April 30 2023
  • Regular Season Record: 44-38

The Heat somehow made it through the first round, and they got Jimmy Butler to thank for that. Butler churned out a series of all-time great performances in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals against the Milwaukee Bucks to knock out Giannis Antetokounmpo and company.

In five games versus the Bucks, Butler put up 37.6 points while burying 59.7 percent of his attempts from the field. Given what the Heat had done in the first round, it’s fair to say that there’s no counting out Miami. The Knicks look formidable but the Heat are riding a hot offense centered on Butler’s exploits. So far in the playoffs, the Heat are second overall with 119.0 points per 100 possessions and tops with a 60.5 effective field goal percentage.

Betting on the New York Knicks

Heat vs Knick Predictions Picks Odds NBA April 30 2023
  • Regular Season Record: 47-35

Jalen Brunson and the Knicks scored a mild upset in the first round, as they sent Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers crashing out of the playoffs in only five games. Brunson led the Knicks in that series with 24.0 points on 43.7 percent shooting from the field, while RJ Barrett had 17.4 points on 44.1 percent shooting from the floor. New York didn’t shoot the ball particularly well in the opening round, but this is a team that can win ugly matchups because, for one, of its rebounding.

In fact, the Knicks rank second in the playoffs so far with a 54.9 percent rebound rate. The frontcourt of the Knicks presents a problem for the Heat, with New York parading Mitchell Robinson, who just grabbed 18 rebounds in the series-clinching Game 6 versus the Cavs, Julius Randle, and Isaiah Hartenstein. Randle injured his ankle in the last game, so it’s best to check out his status from time to time.

JefeBet Prediction

The Heat seem like a team that’s due for regression on offense. Meanwhile, look for the Knicks to win the glass battle and control the game for most of the contest.

Prediction: The Knicks win, 108-102.
