Betting on the Sacramento Kings
- Regular Season Record: 27-21
Things have not been going well for the Sacramento Kings recently, so they are hoping to start the second month of the year on the right foot to further strengthen their position in the Western Conference playoffs, where they are third, 5.5 games behind the Denver Nuggets.
This will be the third game of a long and complicated seven-game road trip for Sacramento. They know it is the perfect opportunity to start a good streak after beating the Minnesota Timberwolves in their previous game, considering that they will be facing one of the worst teams in the league, which they have already defeated the last two times they visited them.
However, in order to achieve this, they will have to improve on what they have done so far away from home, since they have a 12-10 record in that condition and their offense has allowed an average of 114.4 points per game. However, this is in stark contrast to the 123.6 points they average when they are at home.
Betting on the San Antonio Spurs
- Regular Season Record: 14-36
For their part, the San Antonio Spurs continue to fall into an unlimited abyss, arriving here with six losses in a row and being second to last in the Western Conference with only 14 wins after 51 games played, surpassing only the Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets, who have 13 and 12 wins, respectively.
Although they have struggled to be consistent on offense, averaging just 112.7 points per game, the Spurs’ big problem this season has been their defense, which is the worst in the league with an average of 122.2 points against per game. Furthermore, it has allowed its opponents to shoot from the field with a 50.9 percent success rate.
As demonstrated in their last presentation, where they lost by a score of 127-106 to the Washington Wizards, playing at home has not meant much for the Spurs this season either: they lost 19 of the 27 games they have played so far and gave up an average of 113.2 points scored and a dreadful average of 120.4 points allowed per game in the process.
JefeBet Prediction
The Sacramento Kings have done a great job offensively throughout the whole campaign. And, while they have not been the same on the road, this time they will have a chance to redeem themselves against the league’s worst defense, as they have done in their previous two clashes, scoring 130 and 132 points.
Also, even at home, the Spurs have not been able to do things well offensively, so they will not have it easy against the Kings, who are not the best defensively, but are a bit more decent away from home.
The Kings have been totally superior to the Spurs in their previous two matches, and with both being at very different levels at the moment, we expect it to be Sacramento that imposes the pace of things and takes the win.
Prediction: Sacramento Kings Spread.
