Betting on the Sacramento Kings
- Regular Season Record: 48-34
Sacramento has made the most out of its homecourt advantage so far in the series. The Kings have established a 2-0 series lead heading to Game 3 after winning both contests at home, the latest being their 114-106 triumph Monday night to light the beam for the second time in this postseason. Sacramento just doesn’t fold.
There were many times in Games 1 and 2 that the Kings could have succumbed under pressure, but it instead managed to survive crucial junctures by making timely baskets. The Kings may be shooting just 45.3 percent from the field in the series, but they’re attempting 30.5 free throws per game to just 22.5 by Golden State. With De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk, Domantas Sabonis, and Harrison Barnes finding ways to create buckets and draw fouls, the Kings’ attack should continue to make life hard for Golden State’s defense, especially if Draymond Green gets suspended for Game 3.
Betting on the Golden State Warriors
- Regular Season Record: 44-38
The Warriors will have to hope that Green will avoid suspension after he got ejected from Game 2 for a flagrant foul on Sabonis. Chances are he’ll escape such a harsh punishment, but either way, the Warriors will be glad to finally play in front of their home crowd for the first time this season. It’s no secret that Golden State struggles big time when it’s the road team.
At home, the Warriors are a completely different animal. Back in the regular season, the Warriors went 33-8 in home games. Plus, dating back to 2018, the Warriors are 8-2 SU in 10 home games versus Sacramento. They’re also carrying a six-game win streak at home against the Kings. Stephen Curry remains dangerous, as he’s averaging 29.0 points on 48.8 percent shooting from the field so far in the series, while Klay Thompson is putting up 21.0 points with a 41.7 3FG%. Golden State is a proud franchise that can’t be counted out in this series until at least it loses at Chase Center.
JefeBet Prediction
The Warriors are not going to lose three games in a row to Sacramento. This will be another close game, but the Kings, this time, crumble under pressure in the fourth quarter and allow Golden State to break away late.
Prediction: The Warriors win, 123-116.
