Betting on the Sacramento Kings
- Regular Season Record: 48-34
After going up 2-0 in the series, the Kings are now trailing the Warriors, three games to two. The Kings need to rediscover their moxie if they are to extend the series and light the beam one more time. In their 123-116 home loss in Game 5, De’Aaron Fox tried to play through a busted finger and shot like, well, someone with an injured finger, going 9/25 from the field for 24 points.
The Kings need others to help Fox. Harrison Barnes, Malik Monk, and Domantas Sabonis might have to see more shots while limiting the attempts of Fox, whose banged-up finger is not doing the team any favors. Sacramento’s lethal outside shooting is also due to show up in Game 6 after the Kings went just 10/34 from behind the arc last Wednesday. Back in the regular season, the Kings were fifth and ninth in the league with 13.8 3-pointers per game and 37.3 3FG%, respectively.
Betting on the Golden State Warriors
- Regular Season Record: 44-38
It appears that the Warriors have really found the right formula in this series at least versus the Kings. With Draymond Green coming off the bench again, the Warriors got the power forward to score 21 points to go with seven assists and four rebounds plus four steals, and a block in 32 minutes back in Game 5.
It’s the second time in a row that Golden State got Green coming off the bench with both games resulting in wins, so don’t expect to change that lineup configuration in Game 6. Having exorcised their demons on the road with their win on Wednesday, the Warriors will get to enjoy a home-court advantage in Game 6. Golden State is 40-17-1 against the spread in their last 58 games as the home team. The Warriors have also covered the spread in five of their last six games versus a team that had just scored at least 100 points in a prior contest.
JefeBet Prediction
The Warriors are smelling blood. The inexperienced Kings buckle in Game 6, as the Warriors break away in the third period with a monster run.
Prediction: The Warriors win, 124-114.
