Davis generated 30 points and 23 rebounds in Game 1 and also added four blocks. His presence in the middle on defense threw the Warriors off their rhythm. Davis is an effective shot deterrent for the Lakers’ defense that held Golden State to only 40.6 percent shooting from the floor in the series opener. James scored 22 points with 11 rebounds in the win. He also rejected three shots on defense. The Lakers’ stifling rim protection and defense inside the arc are going to be their major weapons the rest of the way in the second round.
