Betting on the Philadelphia 76ers

The 76ers have not performed as well as expected in this first month of the campaign, however, it should also be made clear that this is largely due to the absence of James Harden, who has not played since November 2 and is expected to return at the end of December. What’s even more, Joel Embiid has missed the last two games due to foot discomfort.
Although Philadelphia was able to get through the first meeting without the Cameroonian All-Star by defeating the Brooklyn Nets by 106-115,the team was unable to repeat that performance a day later at home to the Charlotte Hornets, falling by a score of 101-107 last Wednesday, despite leading by 12 points in the first quarter.
Harden’s injury has placed all the responsibility for the 76ers’ offense on Embiid, who has had a great campaign, but it hasn’t been enough to improve the numbers of an offense that averages 108.6 points per game (fourth worst in the league).

Although things have been even worse for the Florida team, this is not surprising, given that they are a team in a long rebuilding process that obviously still needs some time to begin to consolidate.
Even so, the Magic has had some good moments before injuries affected the team, the most important one being rookie Paolo Banchero, who has not played since November 7 and still has no return date.
With his 23.5 points per game, Banchero is clearly a more than noticeable absence at a Magic offense that is among the worst in the league with an average of 109.5 points scored per game.Their defense has not been at its best either, averaging 113.5 points allowed.

Embiid’s presence or absence will be vital for this game, however, even with Embiid on the court, the 76ers are a team that has struggled to score points, so the Magic could have a good opportunity here to record a better defensive performance.
However, Philadelphia has the third-best defense in the NBA, so this won’t be an easy game either for a Magic that has struggled to be effective offensively, even more so since Banchero’s injury.
So with both teams struggling on offense, and the 76ers being a strong team defensively speaking, we think this will be a slow-paced game, with a lot of breakdowns on both sides of the court, and thus a low scoring game.
