This Thursday, December 29th, NBA action will continue with the Thunder vs Hornets game, a clash between two teams that have had a very weak campaign and that will try to improve their record in this game.
The Hornets have won the last three meetings between each other, however, that positive streak was preceded by a seven-game winning streak by the Thunder.

Betting on the Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder have had many ups and downs this campaign, but they arrive to this game on a very good moment after winning four of their last five games, and while they have won just four of their 15 away games this season, they are feeling a little bit confident in the fact that they have won eight of the last ten meetings between these each other.
Oklahoma City will enter this game after a long seven-game homestand that ended with a win last Tuesday against the San Antonio Spurs. They won that game by a score of 114-130, and led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who registered 28 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
The offense has been the Thunder’s main weapon this campaign, with an average of 115.8 points scored per game, but they have not been able to live up to the defensive expectations, with an average of 116.8 points allowed per game it is sixth in the league for most allowed points.
Betting on the Charlotte Hornets
The Hornets haven’t done much better either, they have suffered the absence of LaMelo Ball a lot, who just recently has been able to play more games, and they also own the second worst record in the league, something very disappointing considering the good things they had shown last campaign.
This game will take the Hornets’ back home after a six-game road trip in which they were only able to win one game, a 105-110 loss to the Golden State Warriors, in which Ball was the team’s top scorer with 21 points.
Ball’s return has improved the Hornets’ offense, however, they remain a very weak team on defense, averaging 118.0 points allowed per game, the third worst record in the league, although at home those numbers improve a bit to 114.9 points.
JefeBet Prediction
Although the Thunder are in a very good momentum and are a strong team offensively, playing away from home has not been their thing this campaign, reducing their offensive average to 113.6 points per game in such condition, and attaining an average of 118.1 points allowed.
Therefore, this will be a very good opportunity for the Hornets to put a better defensive performance in front of their home crowd, and for Ball to continue to push forward the team’s offense, even more so considering that they have not lost to the Thunder in their last three meetings with each other.
While we expect this to be a close game, we are confident that the Hornets will get stronger at home against a Thunder team that has struggled defensively and that has lost seven of its last nine games away.
Prediction: Charlotte Hornets Spread.
