Betting on the Golden State Warriors

Stephen Curry pumped out 30 points on 11/20 shooting with six 3-pointers in Game 1, but the Warriors still fell short in a 126-120 road loss to Sacramento. Nevertheless, the Warriors could have won that game if at least a couple of breaks had gone their way.
Andrew Wiggins, unsurprisingly, looked rusty in his first game back from a long absence, as he came off the bench and scored 17 points on 7/16 shooting from the field and just 1/8 from behind the arc. Now that he’s all warmed up, though, Wiggins could and should be a bigger factor for the Warriors in Game 2. Golden State, which failed to cover the spread as the road team in the series opener, is 4-1 ATS in its last five games after an ATS defeat.

The Kings did not back down against the reigning NBA champs in Game 1 because De’Aaron Fox and Malik Mont were not going to let Golden State spoil the night when playoffs basketball returned to Sacramento. Fox powered the Kings with 38 points, while Monk added 32 points off the bench. That win by the Kings also showcased the depth of Sacramento.
Although Fox and Monk carried most of the load for Sacramento, guys like Trey Lyles and even Alex Len provided quality minutes that helped prevent the Kings’ knees from buckling under tremendous pressure. Still, the Kings need Domantas Sabonis and Kevin Huerter to bounce back in Game 2. Sabonis only had 12 points on 5/17 shooting in Game 1, while Huerter produced just six points on 3/12 shooting. The Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last five games versus Golden State.
