Betting on the Golden State Warriors
- Regular Season Record: 44-38
Golden State tied the series at 2-2 after escaping Game 4 with a 126-125 victory at home. Having won back-to-back games, it’s clear that the Warriors have the momentum going into Game 5. Stephen Curry blasted the Kings last Sunday for 32 points. He is now averaging 31.5 points on 48.9 field goal percentage in the playoffs. He is making 5.0 3-pointers on 40 percent success rate in the first round, and if there’s one player who can sustain that kind of outside shooting success for an entire series, it’s got to be Curry.
Kevon Looney also continues to deal damage to the Kings with his role. He scored just eight points in Game 4, but he grabbed 14 rebounds and had six assists in 32 minutes. He’s been so good that Draymond Green was pushed to a reserve role on Sunday. Green was still impactful, though, scoring 12 points with 10 rebounds and seven assists along with a plus/minus of +8 in the win over the Kings.
Betting on the Sacramento Kings
- Regular Season Record: 48-34
The Kings nearly got a 3-1 series lead if only Harrison Barnes’ 3-point attempt near the end of regulation in Game 4 found the bottom of the net. Nevertheless, Sacramento will finally get a home game again. The Kings dominated Golden State in the first two games of the series which were both held at Golden 1 Center.
They won the series opener, 126-123, and followed that up with a win in Game 2 to the tune of a 114-106 score. And despite their loss in Game 4, the Kings were +12 in shot attempts from the field in that contest. They continue to get their shots and win the possession battle in the series, which is a good sign heading to Game 5. In other words, the Kings are due for a positive regression in their shooting and that could come this Wednesday in an all-important game at home.
JefeBet Prediction
The Warriors’ struggle in road games are well documented. Look for the Kings to pounce on that Golden State weakness and score a win to get the 3-2 series lead.
Prediction: The Kings win, 124-120.
