Betting on the Alabama Crimson Tide
- Regular Season Record: 23-4
The Crimson Tide crushed the Georgia Bulldogs last Saturday at home, beating their fierce SEC rival, 108-59. It was the best Alabama can do to feel better after suffering a 68-59 road loss to the Tennessee Volunteers a game prior.
Beating Georgia, however, prove very little for the Crimson Tide because everyone expected them to take care of business against the Bulldogs. That is also the same expectation people have of Alabama for its next game versus South Carolina, which is guaranteed to finish the regular season with a losing SEC record.
The Crimson Tide are one of the best – if not the best – teams in Division I basketball right now. It is averaging 83.4 points per game – good for third in the nation – and allowing just 89.5 points per 100 possessions adjusted – also third in Division I. Alabama is 3-1 ATS in its last four games overall.
Betting on the South Carolina Gamecocks
- Regular Season Record: 10-17
South Carolina is a team that is virtually going to miss this year’s edition of March Madness unless it pulls off a dramatic Cinderella run in the SEC tournament. The Gamecocks are showing some signs of life lately, though. After losing 10 of their first 11 games in SEC play this season, the Gamecocks have won two of three games.
They beat the Mississippi State Bulldogs on the road on Feb. 11 (64-61) and then the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge last Saturday (82-73). In between those games was South Carolina’s 75-64 home loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores. Watch out for the Gamecocks’ 3-point shooting, which saved them in the LSU game in which they went 15/32 from deep. South Carolina is 4-1 against the spread in its last five games overall.
JefeBet Prediction
