Betting on the Baylor Bears

  • Regular Season Record: 20-7

Baylor is stuck with nine wins in conference play in the Big 12 after getting its four-game win streak snapped last Saturday in an 89-71 loss in Waco to the Kansas Jayhawks. Still, the Bears are looking good overall, mainly because their offense remains one of the best in the nation. Baylor is second in Division I basketball overall with 122.0 points per 100 possessions adjusted and 25th with an average of 78.5 points per game.

They lost to Kansas State at home last January in a shootout, 97-95, with Keyonte George scoring 22 points and Adam Flagler getting 23. Regardless of that loss, Baylor has shown repeatedly this season that its offense is a major problem for any opponent. The Bears are 4-1 against the spread in their last five outings.

Betting on the Kansas State Wildcats

  • Regular Season Record: 20-7

Kansas State had a much better weekend than the Bears, The Wildcats edged out the Iowa State Cyclones in a 61-55 home win last Saturday to stop a two-game skid, Before that, the Wildcats lost to the Texas Tech Red Raiders and to the Oklahoma Sooners, though, both games were on the road. Kansas State has been sturdy in Manhattan this season, as evidenced by its 14-1 straight-up record in true home games

The last time the Wildcats played at home, they whipped the TCU Horned Frogs, 82-61, on Feb. 7. Kansas State is more of a defensive team, as it is 18th in the nation with 93.6 points allowed per 100 possessions, but it’s not too shabby either when it’s got the ball. Kansas State, which is averaging 75.4 points per game, is 8-2 ATS in its last 10 contests as the home team.
