Betting on the Baylor Bears
- Regular Season Record: 18-6
Baylor is in the middle of the pack in the Big 12 standings. The Bears’ mediocre position in the conference’s standings doesn’t mean it’s an awful team. In fact, Baylor is one of the best teams in the nation and they just happen to be playing in the same league with a bunch of Top 25 programs. The Bears have wins against the Kansas Jayhawks and also ranked teams from outside the conference like the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the UCLA Bruins.
Keyonte George is the leader of the team in terms of scoring but the Bears have plenty of other dangerous bucket-getters like senior Adam Flagler and junior LJ Cryer. Overall, the Bears have four players averaging at least 10 points per game, so it’s not much of a surprise to learn that Baylor is No. 1 in the Big 12 in adjusted offensive rating.
Baylor is 2-1-1 ATS in its last four road games.
Betting on the TCU Horned Frogs
- Regular Season Record: 17-7
The Horned Frogs are not in very good shape, having lost both of their last two games and three of their last four. That being said, don’t just give up on TCU yet because this is a team that already has defeated Baylor once this season. In the first meeting between these two teams in the 2022-23 college basketball campaign, TCU eked out an 88-87 win in Waco back in early January.
The Horned Frogs took advantage of Baylor’s poor defense and scored a ton against the Bears. Mike Miles Jr. erupted for 33 points on 12/21 shooting against Baylor, and he must be licking his chops over the prospect of facing the same Bears defense again – this time at home.
TCU is 8-1-1 ATS in its last 10 games as the home team.
JefeBet Prediction
Baylor’s defense has been suspect this season, and it’s a major reason why they have this many losses already in the Big 12. Taking TCU to capitalize on the Bears’ defense again.
Prediction: TCU covers.
