Who needs Coach K? In just their first season after the retirement of the legendary college basketball head coach, the Blue Devils managed to win 26 games heading into the Big Dance and also capture the ACC tournament crown by beating the Virginia Cavaliers in the finals last Saturday, 59-49.
There were shaky moments in the regular season for the Blue Devils where they looked as though they were going to be a bubble team, particularly when they won just eight of their first 14 games in ACC play. But Duke turned things around since a February loss to Virginia and is now entering the NCAA tournament on a nine-game win streak. The duo of Kyle Filipowski and Jeremy Roach can take over any game and should have its way versus Oral Roberts.
Betting on the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles

Oral Robert thinks that the Blue Devils’ nine-game win streak is cute. The Golden Eagles’ undefeated run easily dwarfs that feat by Duke, as Oral Roberts barges into the NCAA tournament having won all of its last 17 games, including three in a row in the Summit League tournament to capture the lone bid in the conference.
The Golden Eagles went 18-0 in conference play and dominated competition there on both ends of the floor, posting league-best numbers of 117.5 offensive rating and 97.8 defensive rating. Oral Roberts finished the regular season with a +19.7 Net Rating in conference play, easily the best in the league. Oral Roberts’ offense is scary. It is fourth nationally with 82.5 points per game and No. 1 in terms of effective field-goal percentage (56.1%) and offensive turnover rate (13.2%).
