Betting on the Iowa State Cyclones

  • Regular Season Record: 17-8

After starting Big 12 play with four wins in a row, the Cyclones have suffered a ton of losses against their league rivals. Having said that, Iowa State will remind people from time to time that it remains a dangerous opponent for any team. There’s the fact that the Cyclones just defeated the reigning national champions Kansas Jayhawks in Ames on Feb. 4. And then there’s also their 80-76 home win against Kansas State on Jan. 24.

In that game, the Cyclones had their way on offense, shooting 57.1 percent from the field and also going 19/25 from the free throw line. Gabe Kalscheur will be a man to watch out for over at the side of Iowa State for Saturday’s game versus the Wildcats, as he had 19 points on 7/11 shooting in the win against Kansas State.

Jaren Holmes, meanwhile, led Iowa State in that game with 23 points on 8/11 shooting. Iowa State is 5-5 ATS in its last 10 games as the road team.

Betting on the Kansas State Wildcats

  • Regular Season Record: 19-7

Kansas State is looking to recover from back-to-back losses to the Texas Tech Red Raiders (71-63) and to the Oklahoma Sooners (79-65) last Saturday and Tuesday, respectively. Both those games were away from Manhattan, though, so returning home should give Kansas State a much-needed shot in the arm.

The last time Kansas State played at home, the Wildcats annihilated the TCU Horned Frogs earlier this month, 82-61. Plus, don’t forget that Kansas State has lost just once in 14 home games so far this season, and that lone defeat was against a very good Texas Longhorns squad by only three points. Kansas State, which is averaging 75.9 points per game, is 8-2 ATS in its last 10 outings.

JefeBet Prediction

This won’t be the high-scoring affair that it was the first time, though. Taking the Under instead.

Prediction: Under.
