Betting on Saint Peter’s Peacocks
The Peacocks have not had a standout season so far, the team has a record of just one game above .500 which has it sitting at the bottom of a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference that is among the weakest in the nation. Although, the parity among its members gives the Peacocks a chance to move into the top spots in the conference with what would be a surprising win here.
Saint Peter’s managed to get out of a streak of three consecutive losses with two very good consecutive victories, the most recent one being against the Quinnnipiac Bobcats last Sunday by a score of 56-63 thanks to a great reaction that had them dominating the second half (27-36), led by Isiah Dasher who finished with 29 points and 4 assists.
Offensively, the Peacocks have failled to live up to expectations this campaign with an average of 65.7 points scored per game, but the team has managed to be very solid on its side of the court with an average of 64.6 points allowed.
Betting on the Maryland Terrapins
Things have been very different for the Terrapins, who have had a good campaign, but who are part of a tight Big Ten Conference with Purdue still undefeated after 11 games played. However, a win here could even see this team reach second place in the standings.
Maryland comes into this game needing to bounce back up, as it has won its first eight games of the season before going on a three-game losing streak, the latest of those lost games coming against the UCLA Bruins by a resounding score of 87-60, in a match in which only two of its players surpassed the 10-point barrier.
Despite having some offensive ups and downs, the Terrapins average a decent 74.4 points scored per game, which they have taken advantage of with a defense that is among the best in the league, with an average of 63.2 points allowed.
