San Diego State ended the dreams of the Furman Paladins to go deep in March Madness with a dominant 75-52 win in the second round Saturday. The Aztecs’ defense locked down Furman, which shot just 32 percent from the field and posted only a 38 effective field goal percentage.
It’s the same treatment San Diego State gave Charleston in the Aztecs’ 63-57 win in the first round. While Alabama’s offense stalled in the second round, it’s got enough talented weapons to wake up and deal serious damage on San Diego State.
