Betting on the West Virginia Mountaineers

West Virginia finally stopped its bleeding with an 85-67 home win against the Oklahoma State Cowboys last Monday. Before that, the Mountaineers suffered three losses in a row. The Mountaineers won that game the way they usually do – with a bunch of free throws. West Virginia entered the Oklahoma State game ninth in the nation with 23.6 attempts per game from the foul line.
Against the Cowboys, the Mountaineers made 20 of 25 free throws. Erik Stevenson also got hot from deep with 23 points and five 3-pointers on six attempts from long range. Stevenson had 12 points on a salty 4/19 shooting in their 76-62 loss to Kansas last January, while the Mountaineers as a team had 28 attempts from the charity stripe, making just 18 of them. West Virginia, a top-20 team in adjusted offensive efficiency, has seen the total hit the Over in seven of its last 10 outings.
Betting on the Kansas Jayhawks

Kansas took care of business on Monday, just like West Virginia, as the Jayhawks beat the TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth to the tune of a 63-58 score. The Jayhawks got the job done despite a cold performance from Jalen Wilson, who scored just seven points on a 3/11 shooting. Wilson remains the best player of the Jayhawks and he can atone for that bad performance with a solid one in the rematch versus West Virginia.
That said, he scored 12 points on 12 shots in the earlier meeting with the Mountaineers. Perhaps it’s Gradey Dick who will put up another stellar showing on offense. Dick had 16 points on seven shots in the win against West Virginia. As a team, Kansas is top 20 in adjusted offensive efficiency and top 10 in adjusted defensive efficiency. Kansas is 3-0 ATS in its last three games at home.
