Cleveland Cavaliers player Rajon Rondo is in trouble after his wife accused him of threatening her and filed for an emergency protective order.

The mother of Rajon Rondo’s children, Ashley Bachelor, accused the Cavs player of threatening to kill her last week. Thus, she filed an emergency protection order, which was recently approved by a judge in Family Court of the County of Jefferson.

Bachelor told Family Court Friday that Rajon Rondo was furious when she asked one of his sons to help her separate clothes so she could wash them. According to the woman, father and son were playing video games and her request annoyed him. When the boy got up to do it, Rajon Rondo ripped the video game console off the wall, went downstairs, broke things in his path and started screaming and cursing.

But the thing did not stop there, since Bachelor said that she tried to stop him, but Rajon Rondo got more violent and told her: “You’re dead,” while holding a gun in his hand.

In the protection order request, the woman said Rondo yelled at the children, asking why they were afraid of him as he held up the gun. Bachelor said she contacted Louisville police by phone, and they responded quickly. But before they arrived, she and her children locked themselves inside the house to prevent the NBA player from entering and harming them.

What will Happen to Rajon Rondo?

For now, he will not be able to contact the woman or the children, since two days after what happened, a judge granted the woman the protection order. In addition, the judge ordered Rondo not to communicate and to stay at least 500 feet away from his family.

Rajon Rondo - Cleveland Cavaliers

Rondo played 39 games in the 2021 season, splitting his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers.

The accusation is serious, but we still do not know if this will have any consequences in the professional career of the NBA player, since at the moment the Cavs have not commented on the matter.
