During the campaign the Timberwolves allow just over 115 points per game, although their field goal shooting defense is the fifth best in the league. The problem comes when opponents have a lot of freedom to shoot from long distance, and when it comes to grabbing rebounds under the basket.
On the offensive end, Minnesota ranks 13th in the league with 114.7 points per game, a figure that could increase once Karl-Anthony Towns returns to the team. Chris Finch’s team is the third most productive team shotting from the field, but it has a lot of problems shooting from the free throw line, not even reaching 78% shooting accuracy.

In addition to the early loss of Cade Cunningham, the Pistons’ season is being a complete disaster, and there seems to be a few signs of change on the road that would make us think the situation will be reverted.

The 147 points scored by the 76ers is the highest number of points scored against them this season, and it is the third time that an opponent has scored more than 140 points against them. This is not surprising considering that they are the second highest scoring team in the NBA at 119.6 points per game, and the second worst at defending shots from the field.
To that we must add that their offense is inoperative apart from Bojan Bogdanovic, who is the only player that averages over 20 points, and who was not playing in the game against Philadelphia.
The Pistons have the seventh lowest average points scored per game at 111.7, and their 45.2% shooting from the field is the fifth lowest average among all NBA offenses. These records do little to alleviate the problems of one of the worst defenses in the circuit.
