Colin Kaepernick hopes the Seahawks will give him the opportunity to have an official workout, hoping he can get back into the NFL.

Colin Kaepernick has been out of the NFL since 2017 after his constant protests ended up cutting him from the San Francisco 49ers. However, the quarterback has continued to train individually and despite the fact that for now no one has dared to include him in any franchise he continues to knock on doors.

In recent days, Pete Carroll, head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, said kaepernick contacted him, and although he said he believes the former 49ers player deserves a second chance after what happened in the past, he did not confirm if he would be the one to give it to him in the Seattle franchise.

Kaepernick doesn’t lose hope and wants to take advantage of the fact that quarterback Russell Wilson has left the Seahawks in this free agency to play with the Denver Broncos.

The quarterback is looking for ways to get the Seahawks to allow him to participate in training. According to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, Colin Kaepernick threw passes Wednesday to a group of people that included Seahawks receiver Aaron Fuller.

The reporter revealed that the quarterback was practicing at the Dempsey Indoor facility at the University of Washington for 90 minutes, but said this was not the first practice, as the past nine days are the third time he has been seen training with NFL receivers. According to Condotta, last week he had a session with Tyler Lockett in Arizona.

Colin Kaepernick Hopes for a Chance

Kaepernich has had little contact with the press since he’s been out of the NFL, but after Wednesday’s practice, the quarterback talked to the reporters who were present, and admitted he’s in talks with the Seahawks to get them a chance.

“I’m still waiting for that opportunity. I’m still hopeful. There’s been a lot of conversation about it. Again, we’ve had conversations with Pete (Carroll) and John (Schneider) before. As Pete mentioned, we’ve talked recently and I’m still waiting for the door to be open and have a chance to get through it,” Kaepernick said.

The last time Colin Kaepernick saw action in an NFL game was on January 1, 2017 with the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara, California, precisely in a game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Since then he has looked for opportunities and although several teams have been willing to give him a chance, he has not yet arrived.

In this 2022 it is said that there are several teams interested in adding the quarterback, among them are the Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants, Carolina Panthers, Detroit Lions and the Houston Texans. Maybe this year will see his return after five years out of the NFL.
