Despite ranking in the top 15 in the league in average yards per game and yards on the ground, they rank 73rd in points per game at 29.5.
However, their biggest problem comes on the defensive side, especially in the air defense, where they average 307.0 conceded per game. This is a very delicate number considering that the Cougars average more than 260 yards per duel through the air and have yet to throw a single interception.

After their big win in Week 2 against Baylor, BYU has been intermittent in their play and have a great opportunity to redeem themselves this Saturday by using their good aerial game. Prior to the Notre Dame game, QB Jaren Hall was averaging at least 70% pass completions and 260 yards per game, something he can pick up against a rather shaky secondary.
Defensively, the Cougars will have to watch out for the Razorbacks’ ground attack, which ranks 10th in the nation in average yards per carry. In this manner, BYU concedes 175 yards each game. In the game against the Fighting Irish, they failed to contain the offense, giving up 234 ground yards.
