After a good performance against a tough Bills defense on Sunday, the young quarterback was listed as questionable on Monday due to ankle and lower back discomfort. This could give Teddy Bridgewater the lead-off spot on offense against a Cincinnati team that has had a fairly steady performance defensively.
For their part, the Dolphins’ defense got the job done at the right times. While the Bills totaled 497 total yards, in the second half of the game they conceded only five points and forced four fumbles, recovering one of them. Although the Bengals won, their offensive line is still struggling, and Miami won’t waste that advantage.

Because the Dolphins have one of the best secondaries in the league through the air, it will be critical for Cincinnati’s ground attack to awaken from its slumber.
On the defensive side of the ball, Tagovailoa’s absence could be very good news for a Bengals’ offense that has also been solid, allowing less than 252 yards through the air in each of their games. Of course, none of the previous three opponents had the offensive firepower of Miami, so this will be a good litmus test in their hopes of getting their season off to a good start.
