Their quarterback Jaren Hall continues to be the brightest spotlight, as the junior has thrown a total of seven touchdown passes in his last two appearances and only one pass has been intercepted in the entire regular season and could play a key role in this new Cougars clash.

Notre Dame has turned things around after starting the regular season with back-to-back losses to Ohio State and Marshall, the team has managed to solve its problems to win 24-17 over California in Week 3 and 45-32 over North Carolina in Week 4, and will come in fresh after not seeing action in Week 5.
