Betting on the Michigan Wolverines (-17.5)
Regular season record: 4-0
The Wolverines scored a win in the first game back of head coach Jim Harbaugh to the sideline, as they defeated the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in Ann Arbor, 31-7, last week. Michigan relied on its stout defense and powerful rushing attack to demolish the Scarlet Knights, as the Wolverines rushed for 201 yards while outgaining Rutgers, 415-257. Michigan’s defense has been unforgiving to opponents this season.
No team has scored more than seven points in a game versus Michigan thus far. The Wolverines are No. 1 in the nation with just 5.8 points allowed per game and also No. 1 with only 231.5 total yards surrendered per contest. Offensively, quarterback JJ McCarthy has seemingly returned to form after throwing three interceptions a week prior, as he went 15/21 for 214 passing yards and a touchdown with zero giveaways versus Rutgers.

Betting on the Nebraska Cornhuskers (+17.5)
Regular season record: 2-2
Nebraska continues its upswing. After losing their first two games of the season, the Cornhuskers scored back-to-back wins over the Northern Illinois Huskies (35-11) and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (28-14) over the last two Saturdays.
While the Huskies and the Bulldogs are not exactly considered high competition, wins against those teams are enough to bolster the confidence of the Cornhuskers, who are averaging 21.8 points per game. The run game has been healthy for Nebraska. In fact, the Cornhuskers are sixth in the nation with 234.8 rushing yards per game after racking up 312 yards on the ground versus the Bulldogs. Nebraska’s run defense will be a major weapon against the Wolverines. The Cornhuskers have limited each of their last four opponents to fewer than 60 rushing yards.
El Jefe’s Prediction on Michigan Wolverines vs Nebraska Cornhuskers
The Cornhuskers haven’t really beaten a notable team so far this season. The Wolverines send Nebraska back down to Earth with another big win.
Prediction:
Michigan wins, 37-13.
