Texas Tech shocked the circuit last weekend when it maintained its undefeated record with a double-overtime win over struggling Houston University.
The Red Raiders have relied on their good offense to score 96 points in the first two games played and recorded 470 yards against the Cougars in their last game: 119 on the ground and 351 through the air thanks to an excellent performance by quarterback Donovan Smith.
The defense has also done its job despite allowing 30 points to Houston and will have another tough task on Saturday when it takes on a Wolfpack offense that recorded 538 total yards in their matchup last week.
Betting on the NC State Wolfpack
- Regular Season Record: 2-0
- Spread: -9.5
- Moneyline: (-345)
- Over/Under: 55.5
After a tight win over East Carolina in week one, NC State thrashed Charleston Southern and comes into this weekend with a chance to continue their climb into the nation’s best with a good win.
Although their Week 2 opponent was from FCB, the Wolfpack’s offensive display was impressive and at home they have a good chance to keep their losing record at zero in their first-ever meeting with Texas Tech.
Of course the Red Raiders are a tough opponent, especially after their performance against Houston, but NC State has already moved up to 16th in the nation and is on track to repeat last year’s 9-3 record.
JefeBet Prediction
The Wolfpack did not have a good first week, but in the second one they showed what they are capable of. Texas Tech also has a good offense and both teams have arguments to maintain their undefeated record by points.
Prediction: Over.
