In NCAA Week 12 we’ll enjoy a clash between two Big 12 Conference teams: Texas vs Kansas. Both of them have the same 6-4 record, but there are slight differences that have them in fourth and sixth place, respectively.
They belong to one of the most competitive conferences, and perhaps that is what has kept them from shining in this 2022 season. They both lost their previous matches, so we are expecting them to compete at a high level today and wow us with their skills.

Betting on the Texas Longhorns
- Regular season record: 6-4
- DraftKings Spread: -9
- BetMGM Moneyline: -350
- Over/Under: 63.5
The Texas Longhorns have been struggling in recent weeks to get wins, and in fact have only one win in their last three games. Three of those games were against conference opponents; TCU and Oklahoma State were defeated by scores of 17-10 and 41-34, respectively, while Kansas State was the recipient of their lone victory by a score of 34-27.
Those opponents are in a better position in the Big 12 standings; however, they will now play a team that might be viewed as being of a lower caliber. In theory, they should be in equal footing, with a 6-4 record. The Texans will have to take advantage of their defensive line, which has played a great role so far.
Betting on the Kansas Jayhawks
- Regular season record: 6-4
- DraftKings Spread: +9
- BetMGM Moneyline: +270
- Over/Under: 63.5
Kansas Jayhawks is closing out the regular season with a dismal performance. They were able to start with five straight victories over Tennessee Tech, West Virginia, Houston, Houston, Duke, and Iowa State before failing to repeat those feats.
They managed to end a losing streak of three straight losses by defeating Oklahoma State 37-16 a couple of weeks ago, but in their most recent game they fell again 43-28 to Texas Tech. Their defense has been shaky in recent games and will need to make corrections if they want to finish in a better position in the Big 12 standings.
JefeBet Prediction
Neither Texas nor Kansas is squandering talent, but the Longhorns have leveraged their strengths to post three wins in their last five games, while the Jayhawks have only managed to win one in that span. The favorite to win this duel is the Texas team.
Prediction: Texas Longhorns win and Under.
