Betting on the UNLV Rebels (+36)

Barry Odom’s regular-season debut for UNLV was a success. The Rebels cruised past the Bryant Bulldogs in a 44-14 victory over the weekend. Running back Vincent Davis Jr. sizzled on the ground with 79 rushing yards and a touchdown on only three rushing attempts, while dual-threat Doug Brumfield had 71 rushing yards and a touchdown on seven carries. As a team, UNLV had an incredible 9/15 line on third downs.
Michigan is a much harder beast to slay than Bryant for UNLV, but the addition of Odom to the Rebels think tank plus the absence of Harbaugh this coming Saturday can be interpreted as pluses for UNLV, which is 4-2 against the spread in its last six games overall.
Betting on the Michigan Wolverines (-36)

No Jim Harbaugh, no problem for the Wolverines, as they crushed the East Carolina Panthers in Ann Arbor in Week 1 to the tune of a 30-3 score. JJ McCarthy was nearly immaculate under center, as he completed 26 of his 30 passes for 281 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions.
He can have another big performance ahead of him, as the Rebels had some visible issues defensively in the Bryant game. Against the Bulldogs, UNLV gave up 409 total yards and 179 rushing yards. That is also music to the ears of Wolverines running back Blake Corum, who rushed 11 times for 73 yards and a touchdown versus East Carolina.
