The Trojans (42.4 points per game) and Bruins (39.5 points per game) rank third and 11th, respectively, in the nation in scoring. In yards per play: USC is tied for fourth (7.20) and UCLA is sixth (7.16).
USC suffered a major loss last week with the injury to running back Travis Dye, which ended his season against Colorado. Dye rushed for 884 yards in 10 games and was by far the Trojans’ most consistent runner. He could cause problems for defenses as a receiver out of the backfield and was excellent in pass protection.
