Their success has been due to the balance they have found, being the team with the second-highest number of points for in their conference (283) and the team with the lowest number of points against (155).
Their six wins were over Rice 66-14, Stanford 41-28, Fresno State 45-17, Oregon State 42-25, Arizona State 42-25, and Washington State 30-14. It should be noted that in six of their seven games, they scored at least 30 points.

They started the season with enthusiasm thanks to a 38-20 win over San Diego State on the first day of the season, but they have been inconsistent results and no victory has come in a row. The other two wins came against North Dakota State 31-28 and Colorado 43-20.
