Week 16 of the 2022 season has gone by, and now we’re heading into NFL Week 17, which tells us that the campaign is entering its final stretch. As we do every week, here at JefeBet, we bring you the best predictions for this new NFL week for all games that will be played throughout the following days.
A total of 16 games will be played between December 29 and January 2, taking into account that the rest days for the teams are over. Without further ado, here are our predictions for this new week of National Football League action.

Predictions, Odds and Betting Previews for All 2022 NFL Week 17 Games
Dallas Cowboys (-500) vs Tennessee Titans (+360) / Thursday, December 29 / 8:15 PM E.T.

NFL Week 17 will kick off Thursday with a stellar Thursday Night Football between the Cowboys and Titans.
Dallas is coming off a big 34-40 win over the Eagles and still has hopes of winning the NFC East and the National Conference. With a record of 11-4, the Cowboys must win all of their games and hope that Philadelphia loses all of theirs. In their last eight games, Dallas scored at least 27 points and in four of them more than 40.
Meanwhile, (and unbelievably) the Titans could fall out of the postseason after stringing together five consecutive losses. After being defeated at home 19-14 by the Texans, the worst team in the league, Tennessee is tied for the lead in the AFC South with the Jaguars at 7-8. However, as of this week, Jacksonville is winning the head-to-head matchup. These teams will be facing off next week. The Titans’ defense is one of the most solid on the ground, but their offense is a real headache.

Arizona Cardinals (+155) vs Atlanta Falcons (-190) / Sunday, January 1 / 1:00 PM E.T.

The Cardinals, who have dropped five straight games and are currently in last place in the NFC West with a 4-11 record, are among the season’s biggest letdowns. Arizona’s future is significantly gloomier now that Kyler Murray can no longer serve as the team’s leader due to injury.
After dominating the NFC South for several weeks and becoming the first club eliminated from the NFL’s weakest division, Atlanta’s emotions must be all over the place. The Falcons’ last defeat, a 9-17 defeat to the Ravens, pushed them out of contention with the Buccaneers for first place in the division after they suffered six defeats in their previous seven games. This leaves them with a 5-10 record overall.

Chicago Bears (+220) vs Detroit Lions (-275) / Sunday, January 1st / 1:00 PM E.T.

With a 3-12 record, the team from Chicago has already been eliminated from postseason contention and currently holds the second-to-last spot in the NFL, in addition to the bottom spot in the NFC North and the whole National Conference. The Bears currently hold the second overall pick in the forthcoming draft, so it is unclear how eager they are to try to ruin the fun for their division rivals.
The Lions have won six of their last eight games and are just a half-game behind the Commanders for the final NFC wild card with a 7-8 record. Considering this, it will be crucial for them to win this game, their last at home, before closing the season by visiting the Packers, a team that could also reach that game with a chance of postseason. It has to be said that Detroit has one of the best offenses in the league and its defense has been improving.

Thanks to five wins in their last seven games, the Jaguars have tied the Titans for the lead in the AFC South with a 7-8 record and a 7-2 record. Due to their victory in the head-to-head comparison to the Titans, they are currently in the postseason. The Jacksonville team has a great opportunity to maintain that position and reach the last day of the regular round, precisely against the Titans, with the advantage on their side. Trevor Lawrence’s air strike was the trigger for this great moment.
On the Texans’ side, it is still unclear whether they will make much of an effort in their final two games to secure the top pick in the draft or if they will maintain the strong play of the previous few weeks, during which they battled against the Cowboys and Chiefs and triumphed against the Titans. Meanwhile, the Houston team has the worst record in the league at 2-12-1.

Hiring Russell Wilson did not pay off at all, and they could even end up among the five worst teams in the league.
Kansas City has already clinched the postseason and the division, but they are still in contention with the Bills for the best record in the American Conference. Both are even at 12-3, with the Bengals on their heels. Now more than ever they need the offense led by Patrick Mahomes to show why it is considered the best in the league.

Miami Dolphins (+120) vs New England Patriots (-145) / Sunday, January 1 / 1:00 PM E.T.

The Dolphins and Patriots will put their season on the line this Sunday when they meet for the second time this campaign.
Miami occupies the final wild card in the AFC with a record of 8-7, but New England is just one game back. The Dolphins already beat the Patriots in the first week of action, but the Patriots are not in good shape after losing their last four games and having their QB, Tua Tagovailoa, back in concussion protocol.
For their part, the Patriots are also not coming into the game in their best shape after losing four of their last five games, including the last one to the Bengals 22-18. The New England team has a 7-8 record and if they don’t get a win against Miami, they will be eliminated from the fight for the postseason. Will their good defense be able to stop Miami’s powerful offense?

Before finishing the season in Philadelphia, New York knows they must defeat the struggling Colts at home. The Giants, who now have an 8-6-1 record following their 24-27 loss to the Vikings, could potentially secure the second wild-card berth in the AFC with a victory on Sunday.

The Saints are coming off a 17-10 loss to the Browns and with a 6-9 record remain one game behind Tampa Bay. The problem is that they lost both games against them and in order to beat them, they must win the last two and have Tom Brady and company lose theirs.
The Eagles were unable to seal the division last weekend against the Cowboys, but could do so this Sunday in front of their home fans. With a win, Philadelphia, which has a 13-2 record, would also secure the best record in the National Conference to rest the first week of the postseason. Justin Fields is also expected to be back at QB after his absence against Dallas due to shoulder discomfort.

The Panthers have already beaten Tampa Bay in one game this year and if they win this Sunday, they would practically take the division from Tampa Bay. What is the team’s secret? A defense that hasn’t let up more than 24 points in six straight matchups.
Tampa Bay, on the other hand, still has a chance, despite its 7-8 record, to define the division and reach the postseason. The Buccaneers have performed much below expectations, particularly on offense, where they have only once all season scored more than 23 points. In this way, they will require their Top 10-defense even more to help the, reach the coveted postseason spot.

The Browns were unable to win a do-or-die game last week at home against the Saints and said goodbye to the postseason. Cleveland lost its second game in the last three weeks, this time 17-10, to drop to a 6-9 record and miss out on at least the third wild card in the AFC. They expected the return of Deshaun Watson to be the solution, but it was more of a problem.
The fact that Washington will play at home against teams who may not be aiming for anything in these final two weeks is their lone advantage. This week’s game against Cleveland is an example of that. Meanwhile, the following Sunday, they will face the Cowboys, who are awaiting other teams’ results. With a 7-7-1 record, the Commanders are in the NFC’s final wild card spot, but they only hold a one-half game advantage over the Seahawks, Lions, and Packers.

Although they have not yet been eliminated in Las Vegas, they are relying on a miracle to keep their season alive. Last week, the Raiders lost to the Steelers 10-13 after blowing a lead once more, dropping their record to 6-9. Remember that during this season, this squad blew three leads of at least 17 points.

Now, with a 7-8 record, they must win against the Jets and Rams and hope for a Washington loss to get into the third wild card of the National Conference.

They have at least responded thus far with two straight victories, the most recent being 26-20 versus the Dolphins, giving them a 7-8 record. The rise of Aaron Rodgers as the offensive team’s quarterback has been crucial for them.

The Ravens have already clinched a playoff berth, but need to win on Sunday Night Football this Sunday to still have a shot at the top spot in the AFC North. Baltimore lost the top spot to the Bengals but, with a 10-5 record and having to visit Cincinnati next week, they still have a chance to retake it. That said, it all depends on whether Lamar Jackson is ready to return to action.
