Betting on the San Francisco 49ers (TBA)
Regular season record: 7-3
Brock Purdy is fine. After a shaky stretch that saw the Niners lose three games in a row, they are once again dominating on the field, thanks in large part to the excellent play under center by the quarterback. In Week 11, Purdy threw for 333 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions on 21/25 completions to steer the 49ers to a 27-14 home win over Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Running back Christian McCaffrey rushed for 78 yards and had a receiving touchdown in the Buccaneers game — a week after seeing his TD streak during a win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Although San Francisco is just 2-3 against the spread in road games so far in the 2023 season, the 49ers are 5-5 against the spread over their last 10 games.
Betting on the Seattle Seahawks (TBA)
Regular season record: 6-4
The Seahawks suffered a brutal 17-16 road loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 11. Seattle would have gotten a victory had the team buried the last-gasp field-goal attempt near the end of regulation. Nevertheless, the Seahawks are still very much in contention for a playoff spot in the NFC. One thing to monitor over the side of the Seahawks is the status of Geno Smith.
The quarterback appeared to have an elbow issue in the Rams game, though, he was able to orchestrate the Seahawks’ final drive in the contest. The 49ers seem to have lost star defensive player Talanoa Hufanga to injury, which could mean an easier road to the end zone for Seattle in Week 12. On the season, Seattle is averaging 21.6 points and 327.4 total yards per game, 16th and 18th in the NFL, respectively.
El Jefe’s Prediction on San Francisco 49ers vs Seattle Seahawks
