The best NFL fans are the ones that always stand out for their loyalty regardless of the outcome.

American football is the main sport in the United States, and the NFL is the most important league in that nation. It has gained great popularity worldwide and this has generated that each of the 32 franchises has gained followers from different parts of the world.

Some teams claim to have the most fans, but it’s not about quantity, it’s about quality, and there are very few franchises that can prove they have the best fans. Without going any further, it is valid to ask: which teams have the best fans in the NFL?

It is considered one of the best fans in the NFL because in 2013 and 2014 it achieved the Guinness World Record as the loudest fan in the world, registering a level of 136.6 and 137.6 decibels, respectively, at CenturyLink Field. The cheering group calls itself “12th Man”, in allusion to the support they give to the team, making themselves feel like player number 12. On many occasions, they have achieved results thanks to the weight of the fans.

The Dallas franchise is considered the most popular in the NFL, as it not only has the most loyal following in the United States but is also the team with the most fans in Mexico, a country that in recent years has become very interested in American football. Despite the fact that the Cowboys have not won a Super Bowl in 26 years, fans show their love by attending the stadium each season. Even at the end of the 2021 regular season, they were the team with the highest attendance at their home games, with 747,368 total.

3.- Best NFL Fans: Green Bay Packers

Another team with one of the best fan bases in the NFL is the Green Bay Packers. The franchise’s 360,000 fans are also shareholder members, ensuring a full house at every home game. This hobby is known as the “Cheeseheads”, although the nickname was given to them by Chicago Bears fans in a derogatory way and in reference to the amount of cheese that Wisconsin produces, instead of being offended they were grateful and adopted it. Fans with a cheese-shaped hat appear at every game.

The Steelers are one of the two winningest teams in NFL history, with a total of 6 Super Bowls in their trophy cases (the other being the New England Patriots). Although their best period dates back to the 70s, they have always been accompanied by their fans. At every game of this franchise, their fans bring out the “terrible towel” and wave it in support of their team, which is their main distinctive feature.

5.- Best NFL Fans: Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders have a lot of fans in the United States, but they also have strong ties to Latino fans. They are now based in Las Vegas, Nevada, but during their time in California, the Hispanic legion was present at their games, being part of the Raider Nation. Fans of this franchise not only wear the jersey but even paint their faces with the institutional colors: black and silver. While they have been affected by the team’s venue changes, Raider Nation continues to cheer.
