The injury to their star quarterback, Kyler Murray, on just the third play from scrimmage in their most recent game was worse than the fact that they lost. He won’t play on Sunday since it’s thought to be a major knee injury. Meanwhile, veteran Colt McCoy took his position against the Patriots.

The highlight of the last loss is the way they bounced back after a 27-0 run that seemed to seal the game: they scored three touchdowns in a span of three and a half minutes, which gave them back their hopes of a victory that was not in anyone’s plans. The Broncos are missing several players due to injury for Sunday’s game, including Dakota Allen, Dalton Risner, Courtland Sutton, Eyioma Uwazurike and Mike Boone.
