Betting on the Washington Commanders (TBA)
Regular season record: 4-7
It was not a good Week 11 for the Commanders, as they suffered their second loss in a row and fourth overall this season in a 31-19 defeat to the New York Giants at home. Sam Howell threw for a touchdown but also had three interceptions while going 31/45. That’s not a good sign for the Commanders heading into a showdown against one of the best defenses in the league in the form of the Cowboys.
However, that doesn’t mean Howell can’t be effective against the Cowboys. He’s still got the potential to dissect Dallas’ stop unit just like he did in previous games against the Philadelphia Eagles. In the two times Howell started for the Commanders this season versus the reigning NFC champs, he threw for a total of 687 yards and five touchdowns with just an interception.
Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (TBA)
Regular season record: 7-3
The Cowboys are on a two-game win streak after doing easy work of the Carolina Panthers on the road in Week 11. With a suffocating defense and solid offense, Dallas took down the Panthers, 33-10. The Cowboys held Carolina to only 187 total yards and forced the Panthers to commit two turnovers. Carolina also went just 5/15 on third downs.
Dallas has repeatedly shown this season that it is very much capable of slowing down opposing offenses, and Washington could suffer the same fate this coming Thursday. Meanwhile, Prescott passed for 189 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions on 25/38 completions versus the Panthers. It was not a great performance but he can definitely be better in Week 12 against Washington’s defense which is among the worst in the NFL right now.
El Jefe’s Prediction on Washington Commanders vs Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys will take care of business in Arlington this coming Thursday, but Washington will have its moments, thanks to Sam Howell’s big arm. Dallas wins, but the Commanders cover.
Prediction:
The Cowboys win, 27-20.
