The Dallas Cowboys should make a priority to go into their bye week with a win next Sunday at home against the Chicago Bears.
Despite their loss to the Eagles in Week 6, Dallas recovered from it with a resounding 6-24 win over the Lions and the return of Dak Prescott as the starting quarterback.
With the win, the Cowboys remain a game and a half behind the undefeated Philadelphia team and one game behind the Giants for second place in the NFC East and one of the wild cards in the NFL’s National Conference.
In theory, the game against the Bears should be among the winnable games on Dallas’ schedule. However, Chicago is coming into this game after a great game on Monday night against the Patriots, in which they defeated them by a score of 33-14 playing as visitors.
That’s why Mike McCarthy’s team should not be overconfident. Of course, their defense, one of the five best in the circuit, has the arguments to stop an offense that for the first time this season scored more than 23 points in a game.
Beyond Prescott’s return, Dallas’ defense is the team’s weapon if they are to make a run at the struggling NFC. However, the QB will have to improve an offense that has the seventh-lowest yards per play average at 5.1 .

In Las Vegas, the Dallas team, which lost only one of four games at homeafter losing in Week 1 against the Buccaneers, is considered a super favorite.
Both on offense and defense, the Cowboys look superior to the Bears, but this season the Bears have already surprised good teams like the 49ers and Patriots. Moreover, in four of the last seven games between the two, the Chicago team has come out on top.

As the weeks have gone by, the Cowboys’ victories have been more convincing, and although they are expected to win again this Sunday, there is not much certainty that they will do it by more than 10 points against the Bears.
Chicago only lost by more than eight points in its visit to Green Bay, and has lost on three other occasions by that margin or less.

The Cowboys this season have barely scored more than 40 points in one game, when they played the Eagles. For that reason, in five of their seven games Under was the right prediction and in one of them the line was even. As for the Bears, in four of their seven engagements they registered the Under.
The detail with this encounter is that historically these teams have been locked in a battle of points. In the last seven matches, the Over has been present in each one of them.

Dallas Cowboys Future Odds after the Week 7
Over/Under wins in the season: Over 11.5 (+115 by BetMGM) / Under 11.5 (-135 by BetMGM)
Expectations in Las Vegas with the Cowboys, following the return of Dak Prescott and the win over the Lions, seem to be on the rise with the projection of wins at the end of the season.
Nevertheless, it doesn’t seem very realistic that Dallas can win more than 11 games with the schedule ahead of them. In weeks 10 and 11 they must visit the Packers and Vikings back-to-back, while in week 15 they go to Jacksonville and close the season at the home of the Titans and Commanders. Apart from this last matchup and the Jaguars, the other three look quite complex.
Moving on to home games, the Cowboys play this week against the Bears, an affordable team before going on break. Then in weeks 12, 13 and 14 they host Giants, Colts and Texans, while in week 16 they face Eagles again. Assuming wins against the Colts and Texans, it is imperative that Dallas at least repeats the win against New York to reach at least 11 wins.

The loss to the Eagles complicated the Cowboys’ aspirations to win the division. Not only Philadelphia is a game and a half ahead of them, but they already won a game and a half of the series, so now they only have to have a better record than them.
In addition, they also face the Giants, a team they already beat but who have a better record than them at 6-1.

The NFC is very evenly matched, with many of the favored teams playing inconsistently. To some extent, that keeps Dallas from losing much ground in the betting even though they are third in their division and just lost to the division-leading Eagles, who remain undefeated on the season.

As for their potential Super Bowl win, Dallas needs Prescott to get healthy as soon as possible if they want to keep their hopes alive. Defense will play an important role, but without offense, the Cowboys will not be able to beat either the NFC powerhouses or AFC favorites like the Bills or Chiefs.

In addition, he is first in yards lost on catches with 56, third in tackles for loss with eight and fourth in hits on opposing quarterbacks with 14.
