It’s five weeks into this NFL 2022 regular season and the reigning champs, Los Angeles Rams, continue without direction and defending the title seems complicated. Although their record is negative (2-3), they remain in second place in their division and with options to fight for the pennant of the western division of the National Conference.

However, the team’s morale is low after losing their Week 5 game by 22-10 against the Dallas Cowboys, which was their second consecutive loss after previously losing to the San Francisco 49ers, and although their next game is against a theoretically accessible opponent, as the Carolina Panthers, blindly trusting the Rams seems to be a mistake this season.

Here at JefeBet, we present you their odds for their next match, as well as the outlook for their future bets compared to the previous week.

Predictions, Odds and Betting Preview for Los Angeles Rams in Week 6 of the 2022 NFL Season

Moneyline (-500 from BetMGM)

The Rams are strong favorites for this game against a team that has won only one game this season. However, they also started with that label in their previous game against Dallas and ended up losing, although that was their first loss of the season in a game started in that condition.

Spread (-10 from BetMGM)

This story looks strangely familiar. The Los Angeles Rams have already started one game with a spread similar to this one in the season, and the result was a mere 31-27 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 2, and the way their offense is running, a win by that much may be hard to come by.

Also, the last time the Rams beat the Panthers by more than 10 points was in 2001, and while each franchise’s present is different, they will have to work hard to cover this spread.

Over/Under (41.5 from BetMGM)

The total of points for this match is relatively short but perfectly justified. The Rams have shown nothing on offense, and have averaged 16 points per game this season, which is the fifth-worst average in the league.

Nor are the Panthers a juggernaut on offense, as their average total yards per commitment of 294,2 is the worst in the NFL, as is their low third-down conversion percentage of 24,2 %.

On top of that, Carolina hasn’t topped 20 points in its last two games, and the Rams didn’t even top 10 in Week 4 and Week 5.

Los Angeles Rams Future Odds

Over/Under wins for the season: Over 9.5 (+105 for DraftKings) / Under 9.5 (-125 for DraftKings)

Los Angeles Rams Week 6 NFL Betting Odds 2022 Future Betting Odds

After their Week 5 loss, Los Angeles Rams win total was adjusted to 9.5 on DraftKings, and those who bet on the over might be biting their nails as this matchup could be decisive in that bet.

The Rams will have a bye next week, and after that, they face the 49ers (to whom they already lost), Buccaneers, Cardinals, Saints and Chiefs before the start of December, so this will be their most accessible game in a schedule that will be very difficult to face.

NFC West Champions (+225 by BetMGM)

The Rams may be just one win behind the 49ers in the battle for first place in the National Conference West division, but the sportsbooks have lost some faith in them because of the way the team is playing.

They are currently the second favorites to win the division behind San Francisco, but their odds for this purpose were adjusted from +120 to +225, although this could be lowered again this week in case they get a positive result against the Panthers.

NFC Champions (+1100 from BetMGM)

Los Angeles Rams Week 6 NFL Betting Odds 2022 Future Betting Odds

Suddenly, Los Angeles Rams do not look like a team that can compete to win their conference as expected before the start of the regular season.

The odds for this goal underwent a drastic change from being at +500 in Week 5 to +1100 in this Week 6, and now even the Vikings and Cowboys have a better chance than they do of making the Super Bowl, which should serve to reflect how poorly they are doing things.

Rams win Super Bowl (+2500 from BetMGM)

The Rams’ odds to win the Super Bowl also increased sharply, from +1600 to +2500, so defending their crown looks quite complicated according to the sportsbooks.

There are already ten favorite teams above them, and they will have to take advantage of their break next week to rethink the rest of their season if they do not want to continue dropping in this category.

Cooper Kupp wins the MVP (+6600 from BetMGM)

Los Angeles Rams Week 6 NFL Betting Odds 2022 Future Betting Odds

With Matthew Stafford struggling mightily and once again getting knocked down multiple times against the Cowboys thanks to little protection from their offensive line, Cooper Kupp appears to be positioning himself as the Rams’ top favorite to win the MVP title.

However, Kupp is far from the level he showed last season (thanks in part to Stafford not being able to play his best game either), but it’s worth noting that Kupp is the sportsbooks’ top favorite at a position other than quarterback to win the MVP, which speaks about how highly rated he is.
