The king has been dethroned. The Rams have no chance of getting to the safe zone. They have only 4 wins and 10 losses. The only thing that keeps them motivated, so to speak, is to beat the Cardinals and not finish last.
The Rams are on their way to becoming the worst defending champion in history. First place is held by the Packers, who won Super Bowl II. They finished their next campaign with a 6-7-1 record. Los Angeles already has more losses than victories, so they are going to go down in history, but in this case not in the way they must have expected.
Their next game is against Denver, which has also lost its possibilities of accomplishing anything good this season. Baker Mayfield remains in control, having already won his first game against Las Vegas, but lost to Green Bay.
He did not look particularly good this game, as unlike the game against the Raiders where he hit about 62.9% of his attempts, against the Packers he was only able to hit 57.1%, was intercepted once, and was caught 5 times.
He is just adapting to the team and confessed that he is already understanding a little more about what is needed. The team’s idea is to think about next season, to have a good draft, and to complement what they have, which is no small thing. They were Super Bowl champions for a reason.
Injuries affected them greatly. Stafford was never at his 100% all season, and even Sean McVay himself said that this season was going to be difficult because of the little time to rest they had. All lines were affected by important injuries, such as Logan Bruss’, who missed the season with a knee problem.
For the record: they started 12 different players on the offensive line, and their injury list is long enough to put together another team. Definitely, this one is a season to forget.

Predictions, Odds, and Betting Preview for the Los Angeles Rams in Week 16 of the 2022 NFL Season
Moneyline (+120 from BetMGM)
They are still the reigning champion, and with Baker Mayfield they have looked a little better. The Moneyline is low against Russell Wilson’s team, who are coming off a 5-game losing streak with a 24-15 win over Arizona, which is equally bad or even worse than them.
Against the Broncos, they lead the all-time series with 9 wins and only 5 losses. But another important fact to consider is that the last two visits to Los Angeles have not been productive, and their last two games ended up in losses for Denver. They basically bring them as subordinates.
Spread (+2.5 from BetMGM)
For the time being, the spread is low, but favorable. Neither scores much, but Denver gets too much (253 points per game), which makes them the victim in this matchup. The Rams have two low scoring games with only two touchdowns in their last two games.
Over/Under (36.5 from BetMGM)
It’s the same case with this dotted line. For the moment, Los Angeles was given a low point line. Baker Mayfield is expected to lead the offense, and at home they may risk more through the air this time around. Besides, they have nothing to lose.
Over/Under Wins for the Season: N/A.
Due to the Rams’ poor campaign, the main bookmakers in Las Vegas have removed this category from their odds.
The Rams Win NFC West, NFC Conference, Super Bowl: N/A.
Last week the Rams were officially out of contention for the West division, the NFC West lead and therefore, the Super Bowl.
