This new week could help the Los Angeles Rams to manage to find the consistency they have lacked throughout this NFL 2022 regular season, although their 2-2 record so far has not cost them dearly as every team in the Western Division of the National Conference has a similar record at the moment.
Their Week 4 loss was quite painful, as it was to a divisional rival like the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 24-9, and their next opponent will be the Dallas Cowboys in this Week 5, which doesn’t look like it will be an easy challenge either. Below at JefeBet, we will show you their odds for their next game, as well as their future betting outlook for this NFL 2022 season compared to the previous week.
Predictions, Odds and Betting Preview for Los Angeles Rams in Week 5 of the 2022 NFL season
Moneyline (-250 from BetMGM)
The Rams will be presented as favorites at SoFi Stadium when the Dallas Cowboys visit, in what will be the third game they will start with that label in this NFL regular season. In the two previous encounters in which they started in this way, they managed to win, which will set a good precedent as they seek to recover from their last defeat.
Spread (-5.5 from BetMGM)
Although Los Angeles team has started two games as a favorite, only one of them saw them cover their spread (20-12 against Cardinals, Spread of -3.5). The last meeting between the two franchises saw the Rams come away with the win, albeit by just three points, and with how inefficient their offense has looked this season, a win may not come by many points.
Over/Under (43.0 from BetMGM)
Only one Rams game this regular season saw him surpass the 20-point mark, and that was against the Falcons’ poor defense. Their previous week’s matchup against the 49ers saw them rush for just 257 total yards, and they will face another great defensive team in the form of the Cowboys.
It is important to note that Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has not thrown a touchdown pass in his last two appearances, and against the league’s sixth-best aerial defense he could be in trouble again. Added to this, the Cowboys have allowed an average of just 15.5 points this season, which explains the low point total in this matchup.

Los Angeles Rams Future Odds
Season Over/Under wins: Over 10 (-105 by DraftKings) / Under 10(-115 by DraftKings)
DraftKings adjusted the Rams’ win total for this season following their result against the 49ers in Week 4, rounding up from 10.5 to 10, and odds on this total could continue to vary after this matchup.
A win could bring the over odds down considering Los Angeles takes on the Panthers in Week 6 before their bye in Week 7, though after that they must face 49ers, Buccaneers, Cardinals, Saints and Chiefs before the start of December, which is when they will really start to have a much easier schedule.
NFC West Champions (+120 from BetMGM)
The Rams’ odds to win their division increased from -133 last week to +120 this week, which is the same odds currently held by the 49ers, another favorite to win the division, which shows how close things are at the moment.
However, the results of both teams could cause these odds to start to become lopsided, and considering that all teams in the division are tied with a 2-2-0 record, there may be no better time to bet on this market than now.
NFC Champions (+500 from BetMGM)
Los Angeles Rams also suffered a slight decrease in their odds to win the National Conference, with this going from +550 in the previous week to only +500, and only the Eagles, Packers and Buccaneers have a better chance of making the Super Bowl than them at the moment according to sportsbooks.
The team has not been able to look good so far, but if the results turn around, they could move above the Packers and Buccaneers, although they are far from catching up to the Eagles who are currently the only undefeated team in the NFL.
Rams win Super Bowl (+1600 from BetMGM)
However, the Rams’ odds to win the Super Bowl did increase, going from +1400 to +1600, since as we have mentioned, the team has not shown a good level of play that makes us think they can repeat the championship, but there is still a long season ahead so things could change for the better if the necessary adjustments are made.
Matthew Stafford wins the MVP (+3000 from BetMGM)
For the third consecutive week, Matthew Stafford’s share to win the MVP remains the same. So far, the quarterback has given no reason to believe that he can fight for the award, and could even fall out of the race for recognition if he does not raise his level soon.
Admittedly, however, his offensive line hasn’t given him the best protection either, as in the game against the 49ers Stafford was taken down on seven separate occasions, and what’s most surprising is that this is the second time this has happened this season, so his low level hasn’t been entirely his fault.
