Betting on the Green Bay Packers (TBA)
Regular season record: 4-6
The Packers are back in the win column after eking out a 23-20 home win in Week 11 over the Los Angeles Chargers. Jordan Love passed for 322 passing yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions on 27/40 completions. Green Bay really took advantage of the Chargers’ leaky defense to gain a win and a major boost to the team’s confidence.
However, the Packers likely will not have Aaron Jones in Week 12 with the running back suffering an injury in the Chargers game. With Jones sidelined, the Packers will turn to AJ Dillon more for their ground production. But don’t sleep on rookie wide receiver Jayden Reed making an impact out of the backfield after he rushed three times for 46 yards and a touchdown versus Los Angeles.
Betting on the Detroit Lions (TBA)
Regular season record: 8-2
The Lions emerge from Week 11 with another win, as they defeated the Chicago Bears at home to the tune of a 31-26 score. Detroit trailed the Bears by as many as 12 points, but the Lions just had so many weapons on offense helping the team stage a successful comeback.
David Montgomery rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown, while Jahmy Gibbs also had a rushing touchdown to go with a receiving score. Montgomery will come into Week 12 looking to be just as effective. Back in Week 4, Montgomery went off for 121 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries in a 34-20 win at Lambeau Field. He probably doesn’t have to carry that much of a load this time around though, with Gibbs coming into his own.
El Jefe’s Prediction on Green Bay Packers vs Detroit Lions
The Lions are just a much more consistent team with a better offense than Green Bay, so we’re expecting Detroit to celebrate Thanksgiving Day with a victory.
Prediction:
The Lions win, 26-21.
