Betting on the Carolina Panthers
Carolina now shares the bottom of the NFC South with the Saints after their win over Atlanta.
With an impressive ground game that ran for 232 yards, the Panthers managed to score at least 20 points for the fourth consecutive game. The return of Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold could help improve a passing offense that averages just 5.8 net yards per pass and has just nine TDs, the ninth-lowest total in the league.
For its part, the defense had one of its best performances of the season, conceding less than 300 yards for the second time; something quite remarkable for a team that ranks fourth in yards conceded to its opponents with 3,624. Carolina also has allowed the sixth most points on the year with 243 and have committed the most penalties in the NFL with 67 total penalties for 517 yards.
Betting on the Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore went into their bye week in the best possible way with a win over the Saints, their third in a row and the division lead secured.
The Ravens will now be returning to action with a manageable home game, taking into account that in the last two games they have scored 27 points and haven’t lost the ball. Likewise, Lamar Jackson continues to be the star of the team that is second in average yards per carry with 5.5, thanks in large part to his QB’s ability to run with the ball.
Defensively, the Ravens have slowly performed as expected and have now gone six consecutive games without scoring more than 24 points. They are the eighth-lowest yards per carry defense in the league, but their secondary continues to struggle by conceding 6.3 net yards per pass.
