Betting on the Carolina Panthers (+4)
Regular season record: 1-9
There is still a long way to go for Bryce Young and the Panthers. Carolina failed to stop its losing skid in Week 11, with the team absorbing a 33-10 loss at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys at home. The Panthers rookie quarterback passed for only 123 yards and a touchdown with an interception on 16/29 completions.
He also lost a fumble and got sacked seven times for a loss of 76 yards. Things are not looking up for the Panthers, but they will have an easier assignment in Week 12 in the form of the Titans, who are also on a losing streak and starting a rookie under center. Tennessee’s rushing defense is a bit of a suspect, so Chubba Hubbard and Miles Sanders have an opportunity to shine in this upcoming contest. The Titans have allowed 74 points in their last three outings.
Betting on the Tennessee Titans (-4)
Regular season record: 3-7
As mentioned earlier, the Titans are also searching for a way out of a slump. They are coming off a 34-14 road loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on the road in Week 11, which came after losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers (20-16) and to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (20-6) in Weeks 9 and 19, respectively.
It must be nice for the Titans, though, that they are finally playing a home game after three consecutive contests in enemy territories. The last time the Titans played a true home game, Will Levis shined under center to lead Tennessee to a 28-23 victory over the Atlanta Falcons back in Week 8. In that game, Levis passed for 238 yards and four touchdowns with zero interceptions on 19/29 completions.
El Jefe’s Prediction on Carolina Panthers vs Tennessee Titans
The Titans will end their losing streak, as as Derrick Henry dominates Carolina’s defense, rushing for at least 100 yards and a touchdown, while Levis outplays Young.
Prediction:
The Titans win, 20-17.
