Betting on the Baltimore Ravens (-3.5)
Regular season record: 3-1
The Ravens destroyed the Cleveland Browns on the road in Week 4, 28-3. Baltimore simply had its way on both ends of the field against its AFC North division rival. Lamar Jackson went 15/19 for 186 passing yards and two touchdowns with zero picks thrown. He also rushed for two touchdowns.
It was also nice for the Ravens to see tight end Mark Andrews wake up, as he recorded two touchdowns and 80 receiving yards on five receptions and five targets. Granted that the Browns did not have Deshaun Watson, the Ravens’ defense was still commendable, as it had three interceptions and four sacks. The Ravens’ stop unit has been fantastic this season and it will be a major threat to the Steelers’ problematic attack. Baltimore is No. 1 in the NFL with just 3.8 yards allowed per game.
Betting on the Pittsburgh Steelers (+3.5)
Regular season record: 2-2
The Steelers got tripped up in Week 4, losing to the Houston Texans on the road to the tune of a 30-6 score. Quarterback Kenny Pickett mustered only 114 passing yards with zero touchdowns and a pick on 15/23 completions. The Steelers are at their best when their defense is doing the heavy lifting this season, so it was not much of a surprise that they lost to the Texans on a day Pittsburgh’s defense was malfunctioning. Still, the Steelers are fifth in the NFL with 2.0 takeaways per game.
On offense, the Steelers must love the fact that Najee Harris finally showed signs of life, as the running back had 71 rushing yards on 14 carries versus the Texans.
