Betting on the Seattle Seahawks
If the Seahawks don’t want to miss out on the postseason, it’s important that this coming Sunday they get a win against a sluggish Rams team.
Seattle needs their defense to answer for good this season after losing its past two games by six points or fewer. Now, it’s a good moment for that to happen and for their ground defense (which allows the fifth most yards per carry average in the league with 4.9 and which also has allowed 14 touchdowns) to improve because they’ll be facing Los Angeles, one of the worst offenses in the league. If the defense can get back on track, things could look good for the Seahawks, who have found a perfect replacement for Russell Wilson in Geno Smith. Seattle is fourth in points scored in the league with 291 and also ranks fourth in average yards per play with 6.0. They are sixth in average net yards per pass with 6.8, while on the ground they also do damage by averaging 4.8 yards per carry.
Betting on the Los Angeles Rams
The Rams are among the worst teams in the NFC, and while they are not mathematically out, defending their title at this point in the season should already be viewed as an impossible feat.
Los Angeles has one of the worst offenses in the league and is currently without Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp due to injuries. Discipline is still present as they are third in fewest penalties committed with 53; meanwhile, in the red zone they are the second best team defensively, conceding touchdowns on just 42.4% of opponent visits.
