When everything seemed to be lost after a resounding loss to the Bills in Week 2, the Titans pulled out all the stops as last year’s divisional champions to beat Las Vegas in a very tough game.
Although Ryan Tannehill continues to underperform, largely due to the team’s lack of quality receivers, Tennessee’s 361 total yards were enough to earn its first win. Another piece of good news was the good performance of running back Derrick Henry, who with two TDs, one on the ground and one through the air, had his best game of the season.
The defense also added up to a pretty good performance by stopping the Raiders at important moments, such as Derek Carr’s interception early in the fourth quarter, when they were up by 11 points. That good performance will be important to be repeated in their visit to Indianapolis against a team that also has some interesting scoring weapons.
Betting on the Indianapolis Colts
- Season record: 1-1-1.
- BetMGM Spread: -3.5.
- Moneyline: (-175).
- Over/Under: 42.5
With a job well done in all aspects of the game, the Colts got their first win of 2022 with a big victory over the Chiefs, one of the teams favored to win the Super Bowl.
Although his offense is still not clicking as expected, Matt Ryan had a balanced game with 222 yards through the air, his first game of the year with at least two touchdown passes and his first without an interception. However, for the second week in a row, running back Jonathan Taylor was not the star of an offense that needs him badly, especially in the face of Tennessee’s good ground defense.
Defensively, things went very well against Kansas City’s powerful offense, which only totaled 315 total yards and was unable to score points in the final period of the game, which they were leading 17-13 at the time. This good performance by the Colts defense (which included an interception of Patrick Mahomes on the last series of the game) allowed their offense to come from behind and get the win.
JefeBet Prediction
This Week 4 matchup between the Titans and Colts is one of the most evenly matched on the schedule. Although in their last five meetings Tennessee has won four of them, including three as visitors, this season both teams are in similar situations and Sunday’s duel will be a do-or-die game for the aspirations of both teams.
Both Tennessee and Indianapolis have good defenses, but the points look a bit low for teams with good offensive weapons. In fact, in four of the last five matches, they have been discharged, and on this occasion everything points to the same trend.
Prediction: Over (TEN 21 – IND 24).
